Our SEND Policy

We're dedicated to creating a fun and inclusive environment where every child feels supported and can enjoy their holiday time. We understand that children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) may have unique requirements, and we're committed to working closely with parents and schools to understand and cater to these needs. We can adapt activities, provide visual aids, offer sensory breaks, and make other reasonable adjustments to ensure your child feels comfortable and included.

While we strive to be as inclusive as possible, it's important to ensure we can provide the best possible experience for every child. In some cases, a different setting might be a better match to meet a child's specific needs. This could be due to, (but is not an exhaustive list):

• High level of individual support needs: If a child requires one-to-one care or specialised support that we are unable to provide within our staffing ratios and current resources.

• Specific safety considerations: If the club's activities or environment may pose challenges for a child with particular physical or sensory needs. As well as any consideration of the impact on other children in the club.

• The need for specialised programs: Where a child may thrive in a more specialised environment, as our LEO sports clubs are specifically designed for children with a passion for sports.

If we determine that we cannot fully meet your child's needs at our holiday club, we will discuss this with you openly and help you explore alternative options. We can provide information and connect you with:

• Local after-school and holiday programs: Including those specialising in supporting children with autism, ADHD, and other needs:

• Childminders: Who may be able to offer more individualised care and support in a smaller setting.

We encourage you to contact us in advance to discuss your child's individual needs. This allows us to plan accordingly and ensure we can provide the best possible support for your child at LEO holiday clubs.
