SUTTON LIFE CENTRE
Date: Monday 20th November
We are pleased to inform you that we will be taking your children on a trip to the Sutton Life Centre on Monday 20th November 2023.
The Sutton Life Centre is an educational facility that provides a range of activities and workshops for children and young people. During their visit, your children will learn about a variety of topics, including safety, citizenship, and the environment.
School lunch will be as normal (in school) on the day of the trip, so please ensure that your child brings a packed lunch as usual and a water bottle. Children will also need to wear their normal school uniform, but please make sure that they are wearing comfortable shoes to walk in.
We will be leaving school at 12.20pm and returning at 3:45 pm. Collection will be from school at 3:45 pm.
We believe that this trip will be a valuable learning experience for your children, and we look forward to hearing about their day when they return to school.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Year 6 Team
ISLE OF WIGHT RESIDENTIAL
Date: Monday 15th July - Friday 19th July 2024
We are very excited to announce that we have worked with LEO Academy Trust to organise a residential trip to Isle of Wight from 15th - 19th July 2024 for our Year 6 pupils. We are very fortunate to have secured a booking as it is an extremely popular venue with school groups. We would like to offer the opportunity for your child to take part in this trip.
The cost of the visit will be £395 this includes accommodation, full board, insurance and a full programme of activities.
We feel it is important that all our pupils have access to the wider opportunities offered by our Trust. If you are experiencing any financial difficulties please contact your child’s teacher or if you prefer the school office. Any communication will be held in strict confidence.
You can find out more about our residential trip to Isle Of Wight through our online presentation: Year 6 - Isle of Wight with IOW Experience
Residential trips organised by the school are, of course, an optional but invaluable part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially and we feel certain that the trip we have chosen this year will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.
There will be a meeting for the parents closer to the trip to give you more information about packing, your child being away from home and the exciting range of activities which will be available for them.
In order to help you spread the cost of this trip, you are able to make payments in instalments via Arbor. It is your responsibility to ensure the trip is fully paid by 23rd May 2024. Arbor will not prompt you to make payments, but the School Office will send out payment reminders
In February 2024 we will ask you to confirm that you still would like your child to attend. If your child no longer wishes to attend you will lose your non refundable deposit. After this time we need to make you aware of the cancellation policy and charges which are below.
If received more than 70 days prior to departure - Loss of deposit = £50
If received between 22 and 70 days - Loss of 60% of total price = £237
If received between 0 and 21 days - Loss of 100% of total price = £395
Kind regards
