From the start of the 2026/2027 academic year the DfE are planning to introduce new eligibility criteria for Free School Meals (FSM's).
These will be categorised as Targeted or Expanded FSM entitlements. If your child is entitled to Targeted FSM's the school receives additional funding to support your child.
Although all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can receive a free meal at school, regardless of household income, we still encourage you to apply for FSM's if you think your child may be eligible.
If you are already in receipt of FSM's you still need to apply as your entitlement may have changed. Please complete this form.
Hurst Park Primary Academy is looking for volunteers to enhance children's learning. Volunteers are highly valued and appreciated by children and staff. In the past, volunteers have helped children with reading and maintaining the Library. Volunteers must complete a comprehensive induction programme, including a DBS check, and adhere to our Safeguarding procedures. Volunteering hours are flexible. If you are interested in making a difference, please complete the Volunteer Registration form to apply. Please note that volunteers will not be placed in their child's class.
