Google Level 2 Training (Virtual)

Have you booked your place for Google Level 2 Training in the Spring term?

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain additional support in training for the Google Level 2 Exam. The training will consist of 2 sessions in total.

What is the most important of Rosenshine's instructions?

Out of all ten of Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction, one is the most important. It is the principle that enables all the other ones to be implemented effectively. It is the foundation that dictates what information we present, when we present it, and how we do so. The fundamental principle we are referring to is Rosenshine’s sixth Principle of Instruction: Checking For Understanding.

ECT Training with SSP

ECTs from across LEO Academy Trust enjoyed taking part in a PD training day last week led by Catherine Sinclair-Smith from Sutton Sports Partnership.

As part of the training day participants observed Catherine lead a PE session at Cheam Common Junior Academy as well as joining in with a practical session themselves in the afternoon session.

A great opportunity to develop confidence in teaching high quality P.E. lessons.

EdTech to support those who teach maths in the classroom

This free workshop will equip you with six practical methods to evaluate the impact of your school improvement priorities and focus on what is making the biggest difference.


With limited time, resources and energy in schools, focusing on what is working best has never been more important. This session will provide guidance on how you can measure the impact of your approach to teaching and learning, or targeted interventions, to develop a more evidence-informed culture in your school or Trust.


It will be led by ImpactEd's Head of School Partnerships, Joe McGinn, and feature case studies and examples from schools and trusts from a range of phases, stages and contexts.

EdTech Demonstrator Online Conference


Date: Thursday 10th and Wednesday 16th March


On Thursday 10th and Wednesday 16th March, EdTech Demonstator are hosting a free, national online conference. With over 70 sessions on offer, you can configure both days to meet your needs.


Whether you want to maximise the impact of technology on effective teaching techniques or explore in detail how to develop a comprehensive digital strategy, there is an enormous breadth of topics available. The live sessions are delivered by the EdTech demonstrator schools and colleges who were selected by the Department for Education for their significant expertise and experience in the effective use of edtech.


The huge diversity of content ranges from SEND, workload reduction, cyber security and 1-to-1 programmes, from which school leaders, teachers and technical staff can choose sessions aimed at their specialisms.

Reading Zone Book Club


Join the ReadingZone Bookclub programme of free virtual author events each term. The bookclub is aimed at classrooms and libraries that are keen to develop a love of reading. Events for ages 5-11 years.

These events are open to schools and classrooms, and are free to join!
