We would like to congratulate Tony Kerslake who has been awarded an MBE for services to education and the arts in Sutton.
Mr Kerslake was our Chair of Governors for 30 years as well as a member of the local council, Chairman of the Education Committee and was Mayor.
We are truly grateful for all of his hard work and commitment to Cheam Fields Primary over the years. He helped redesign the nursery as well as helping the school increase it's outside provision including our trim trail, Eco garden and quiet area.
We are thrilled that his hard work in the community has been recognised and send our congratulations.
At Cheam Fields Primary Academy we are committed to protecting the environment therefore we are joining the Walkers campaign to recycle crisp packets in order to reduce the impact of their packaging on the environment.
What can I recycle?
We are collecting crisp packets from any brand of crisps.
Where do I put my empty packets?
We will have a dedicated bin which will be located outside the main office for you to put your empty crisp packets in.
What happens to the recycled packets?
The crisp packets are cleaned and shredded to be turned into plastic pellets. These pellets are then transformed into park benches, plant pots, watering cans and cool bags.
Where can I find out more?

You MUST have heard of Mr Willy Wonka! He's the most extraordinary chocolate maker in the world. But do you know who Charlie is? Charlie Bucket is the hero of this book. The other children in our story are nasty little beasts, called:
Augustus Gloop - a great big greedy nincompoop
Veruca Salt - a spoiled brat
Violet Beauregarde - a repulsive little gum-chewer
Mike Teavee - a boy who only watches television
And all these children have won a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit Mr Wonka's chocolate factory...
But what mysterious secrets will they discover?
Our tour is about to begin. Please don't wander off. Mr Wonka wouldn't like to lose any of you at this stage of the proceedings . . .
