We are so proud of the way all the children have settled back into school life since the start of term.
Some have joined us for the first time and have made such a great start to their Cheam Fields journey.
To celebrate how well pupils have returned, next Friday (23rd October) will be a mufti day!
Thank you for your continued support.
Miss Shaw
October is Black History Month.
Each year group will be focusing on significant individuals from black history throughout October.
Year 5 created collages inspired by the artist Sonia Boyce, depicting important aspects of their own lives.
As of Monday 19th October, Stoughton Avenue between Chatsworth Road and Tilehurst Road for Cheam Fields Primary Academy will be closed when school is open, from Monday-Friday, creating a pedestrian and cycle only zone.
Stoughton Avenue will be closed to external traffic at school drop off and pick up times:
8:15am - 9.00am and 2:45pm - 3.30pm
The aim is that the street will provide:
Space for physical distancing;
Reduced road danger and improved air quality;
Increased physical activity.
Residents and businesses of Stoughton Avenue, blue badge holders, emergency vehicles, council waste vehicles and statutory undertakers are exempt from these restrictions. However, to limit road danger and to maximise space for social distancing, residents and businesses have been asked to try not to drive in the school streets during the times of the restrictions.
Please walk to school if possible or, if you do need to drive, make sure you allow extra time to find parking further away from the school entrance.
Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed to help everyone get used to the new measures. If you want to help out even if it's just for a morning or afternoon session please contact the school office.
See letter from Mrs Barry for details.
As of Monday 19th October, year group inboxes will not be monitored.
If you have a message for the teachers, please email cfoffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk, pop a note in your child's bag or speak to Miss Shaw or Mrs Mann on the gate in the morning.
On Monday, your child will be coming home with their own design for personalised Christmas cards, stationery and gifts. This will include an order form.
Please return the form to class teachers by Friday 23rd October.
No teacher-led clubs this week.

Sky Cinema in partnership with the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) is delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for young gardeners and visionaries to take part in an exclusive competition.
They would like young people to imagine they have discovered the gates to a hidden, secret garden and to let them know what it looks like.
You can choose how you would like to showcase their garden.
Perhaps you could draw or paint your design, create a collage or model, or even plant up a miniature version of it.
The winner will have the chance to see their garden, or elements of it, brought to life either in their school or in a community space. The winner and runners up will also win a movie goody bag.
Deadline for entries is November 19th 2020
