Year 2
Year 2 have been busy finishing their Great Fire of London artwork.
This is what some of them had to say about their learning:
"I have loved learning about the Great Fire of London and have learnt that it started in a bakery and after the fire, King Charles II ordered all houses to be made from bricks and stone so they were not a fire hazard." Hendrix, Fox Class.
"I have learnt how to make a silhouette for our artwork and that it is like a dark shadow outline." Poppy, Fox Class.
"I have enjoyed making our Great Fire of London artwork. I included outlines of St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London and London Bridge for my silhouette." James. C, Fox Class.
Each year group has sent home optional homework tasks, to complete if you wish to.
If you chose to complete these, they will be celebrated in the classroom as well as by Miss Shaw and Mrs Townsend.
We look forward to seeing all your wonderful work!

NAS Sutton are really pleased to welcome Dr Alexandra Gregory, who is an Educational Psychologist and also a sibling of somebody with autism.
She is going to be running a half day workshop for both Parents and Siblings which will cover the following:
Parents and their children will remain in the same hall for the afternoon, although at times they may separate off into different groups.
Refreshments will be provided.
IMPORTANT: Please note that this workshop is only for Siblings and not for those kids with a diagnosis of Autism. This is to protect the siblings and give them a chance to speak openly and honestly about their feelings. We ask everyone to respect this. We are also limiting the age to those of 8 years and over on this occasion so that they are of a similar age group. If this workshop runs well we will run it again for the lower age range.
Places must be booked in advance through the link below:
