Our first day back at school is Wednesday 4th January 2023.
We hope you have a safe, restful and fun Christmas holiday and look forward to welcoming you back in the new year.
Thank you for all of your entries for our wild garden design. Miss Kelly will be looking through the hundreds of entries over the holidays and will announce the winning design in the new year.
The Doodle Winter Challenge is back, where children can earn virtual rewards by Doodling daily! Between the 1st and 24th December, children can unlock doors on Doodle Maths and English by earning stars. You can find out more information here. Good luck!
Every year, the Metropolitan Police's Christmas Tree Appeal raises money and collects gifts for children across London who might not get any presents this Christmas. Please scan the QR code below or find out more information here.
Do you have any secondhand books or board games that you no longer need? At Cheam Common, we would appreciate donations of any of these items. Books are always appreciated and board games are extremely useful, especially during wet play! Simply drop these into the office or ask your child to hand them to their class teacher. Thank you for your support in advance!
Thank you to all of the families that attended our Y3/4 production of Straw and Order, and the Y5/6 production of Bah Humbug! We are incredibly proud of all of the work that the children and teachers put in, as well as the effort that our families went to too. Thank you!
On Thursday, our children enjoyed their class parties. There were a range of activities across the school, from musical chairs to party games, and even a silent disco in Year 5!
We are proud to hear that Phoebe (Year 6) and Dexter (Year 3) are on stage at the production of High School Musical at the Leatherhead Theatre in January. They will be performing on the Thursday and Saturday evenings on the dates below. Break a leg, both! Tickets to the show can be purchased here.
As the start of Autumn Term can be incredibly busy, we have collated all the important dates for your diary. Please find below all the key dates and times for the next few weeks of the Autumn Term!

SEND & Inclusion Updates!
Young Carers at Cheam Common
At Cheam Common Junior Academy, we hold a weekly small group session to support children across the school who fulfil the role of ‘Young Carer’ because they have a sibling or parent with serious health issues, special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
We want to celebrate the important role our Young Carers play, but also recognise that they may face challenges and pressures not shared by the general school population.
The group meets during assembly time and is led by Mrs Hart.
If you would like your child to take part please complete this form.
If you have any questions about the group, please feel free to contact us at ccjsend@leoacademytrust.co.uk
