Cheam Common Infants' Academy: Balmoral Road, Worcester Park, KT4 8SS
Email: ccioffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk https://www.cheamcommoninfants.com/
On Thursday 19th September, your child will be having their individual school photos taken. Please ensure that children are wearing their full school uniform, including a school jumper or cardigan.
The children will also have their photos taken with their siblings in the school later in the day.
Does your child have a sibling at Cheam Common Juniors?
Come along to the Cheam Common Junior Academy hall on Wednesday 18th September from 8-8:45am, to have your CCI/CCJ sibling photo taken. This is always a popular occasion so please turn up earlier than usual.
From this week, all children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 will start their PE lessons.
Please see a reminder below of which days each class has PE. Children should wear their PE kit to school; there is no need to get changed at school.
PE kit reminder:
White T-shirt
Red shorts or black/grey tracksuit bottoms
School jumpers/cardigans/fleeces to be worn if needed (not own jumpers)
It would be appreciated if all children's belongings were labelled clearly with their name, especially jumpers, coats and water bottles.
Please find information about school tours for new Year 3s in September 2025.
Here are next week's lunch options.
Palace Women have a very important league fixture at Selhurst Park in just two weeks time, and we would love nothing more than for our local schools to have the opportunity to be there and become part of Crystal Palace history.
Kicking off at 7:30pm on Friday 27th September, we will be taking on Chelsea in our first ever home game in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
This is your opportunity to see our new squad in action, as well as Lionesses like Lauren James, Millie Bright and Lucy Bronze under the lights at Selhurst Park!
We would like to offer you some exclusive discount codes so yourself, the pupils and their guardians/parents can all be there.
We are giving all local schools 25% off with the promo code: CPFCWSCHOOLS at checkout!

Nursery have had fantastic settling sessions this week. We have been building using construction and have been sharing the toys really well.
Reception have had an amazing first week at school! Everyone is settling in and trying their best and we are so proud of all of you! We have been learning about Jack and the Beanstalk this week and have done lots of exciting activities linked to this.
Year One have settled in really well into the new routines of Year One.
💻They have loved logging in to their Chromebooks and using their special keypad, although this was tricky and we need lots more practice.
📖 We are very proud of their writing of simple sentences describing Meesha, their new story character from ‘Meesha Makes Friends.’
🧮 The children have really loved counting all the way up to 100 and shouting the tens. What a busy week we have had!
Year 2 have returned with maturity and excellent learning behaviours this term. They have been enthusiastically engaged with their wider curriculum learning. They used ‘Now Press Play’ to enjoy a Florence Nightingale experience where they learnt why she is such an important historical figure. The children are developing their oracy skills by using the Tales Toolkit format to create stories which enable them to develop their confidence at using scientific vocabulary and tier three language. A fantastic start to the term Year 2, well done!
Polite reminder...
As you know, we are a healthy school and therefore ask if your child would like to celebrate their birthday, they donate a book to a library instead of bringing treats. This also ensures there are no concerns over allergies.
If you do bring in treats, we will NOT hand them out. We expect you and your child to hand them out so you can check if parents are happy for their child to receive the treat.
