Welcome to Citizens Advice
Are you or someone you know struggling to cope? Citizens Advice is here to help.
Money, housing, work and family have all been hit by Covid19 leaving many of us feeling isolated and helpless.
But help is at hand. Leiston Saxmundham and District Citizens Advice is here to offer help, advice and guidance whatever the problem.
Our trained team of advisers is hooked up, plugged in and ready to go and although we cannot offer face-to-face meetings at our Leiston office and outreach sessions, we are just a phone call away or a click of a mouse on email.
The dedicated admin team are dealing with the paperwork and our specialists are ready with Help to Claim for new Universal Credit claims, help with dealing with debts through our money advisers and our Money Matters initiative launched with our partner Citizens Advice in Suffolk and East Suffolk Council.
Whatever the problem you can be sure of a friendly, informed, and practical response from our advisers. However you choose to make contact we shall respond as soon as we are able and, where we cannot give the expert help you are looking for, we will signpost or refer you to someone qualified to deliver the advice you need.
So whatever life has thrown at you, remember you are not alone. Citizens Advice is here to help, guide and support with independent, confidential, free at the point of delivery advice and guidance.

Volunteer For Us
As a Citizen Advice volunteer you don’t need any particular qualifications or experience as we have our own comprehensive accredited training programme that will give you all the skills you need to deliver a high quality service to our clients.
You won’t be left alone after you have trained as there will always be experienced advisers and supervisors to offer regular feedback, support and assessment to enable you to work effectively in your role.
As well as training as an Adviser we also need volunteers to help with Admin or to serve on our Trustee Board.
Our volunteers benefit from their experience of working with us. Retired volunteers believe it keeps them mentally active and nine in ten unemployed volunteers say it helps them move into employment or education.
Our volunteers all come from different backgrounds and welcome new people, if you would like to join our friendly team please contact us using the link below.
