What is a Redundancy Support Package?
We know that this is a very difficult time for many businesses, and you may be making some tough decisions about the future of staff you employ.
Leicester Adult Skills And Learning Service (LASALS) already offer FREE quality employment skills courses for people who are employed as well as those who are out of work. This means it will not cost your business or the participants anything.
We can tailor a package of learning opportunities from our regular programme to meet the needs of your team:
fill in any gaps in skills which will make them more employable
teach people how to best ‘market’ themselves to future employers
provide individualised careers advice for career change
boost confidence to help people perform well at interview
develop understanding about work opportunities in another industry sector
assessment and progression onto identified required qualification courses – e.g. English, Maths, ESOL, business finance, teaching assistants, IT skills etc.
How do we deliver this support?
We can deliver this in several ways:
Live online courses with a qualified tutor, which your staff can access from anywhere with an internet connected device
Classroom based courses (government lockdown permitting) at one of our many delivery venues
On-site training opportunities – if you have COVID safe facilities.
Ideally, class group sizes should be 10+, but if you have fewer members of staff, we can join them to one of our regular courses. Your staff just need to have been living in the UK / EU / EEA continuously as a resident for at least the last 3 years and provide their National Insurance number to be entitled to these fully fee funded courses.
