A bit about me.
Growing up in Montana, the academic world of computer science was completely foreign to me. In fact, it wasn't until my senior year of high school that I even stopped to consider how the software I used every day was built.
Since then, I have had remarkable luck and opportunity to bring me to where I am today; a Ph.D. student working with Roberto Palmieri at Lehigh University. Our lab, the Scalable Systems & Software (SSS) Research Group, explores a variety of systems topics including concurrency, synchronization, transactional memory, data structures, distributed computing, heterogeneous systems, in-memory key-value stores, and fault tolerance.
Today, my research focus is how we can leverage remote direct memory access (RDMA) to build next-generation distributed data storage and management.
Beyond academics, I enjoy staying active in the graduate student community by serving as Lehigh's External Affairs Committee Officer, sitting on the Graduate Student Senate executive board, and mentoring first-year PhD students.
