The Lehigh University Office of Educational Innovation and Assessment (OEIA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE), an organization that provides professional development in areas related to postsecondary teaching and learning.

Beginning in Fall 2025, yearly cohorts of up to 50+ Lehigh University instructors will have an opportunity to participate in ACUE’s Effective Teaching Practices (ETP) macrocredential. This 25-week experience is designed to equip educators, such as yourself, with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance engagement, success, and career readiness for all students. Consistent with ACUE’s model, the course largely operates in an asynchronous format, with on-the-ground office hours and check-in opportunities provided by OEIA staff. 

As you complete each module within the ETP curriculum, you will receive a digital badge certifying your efforts, which can be incorporated into your curriculum vitae, tenure/promotion dossier, and other online media, like LinkedIn. Instructors who complete the entire program will also earn a nationally-recognized Certificate in Effective College Instruction, signifying your commitment to pedagogical excellence. At the end of the academic year, OEIA will host a reception to recognize and honor your achievements, providing you with an opportunity to further interact with your peers and university leadership.
