I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University, with a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin.
My research is driven by a passion for advancing the state-of-the-art in several areas of Structural Engineering, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, with a main focus and resulting expertise in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM).
Structural Engineering: Structural health monitoring, resilience of structural systems, structural reliability, structural dynamics, fatigue life estimation of bridges, life-cycle assessment, finite element methods.
Sensing and Data Processing: Mobile sensing methods for smart infrastructure, system identification, digital signal processing, pattern recognition.
Artificial Intelligence: Digital twin, deep learning, physics-informed neural networks, optimization techniques (genetic algorithms), transfer learning.
