Yongtai is a PhD candidate whose research has focused on the behavior of disorder, strongly correlated, and spin-orbit coupld 2D fermion systems. Yongtai is researching the impact of impurity in these systems using many-body condensed-matter techniques such as the dynamical cluster approximations and its typical-medium extensions. His study seeks to understand how these imperfections affect the characteristics of the systems, and how they might contribute new insights to the metal-insulator transition in the strongly-correlated and disordered systems.
