Escaping Hibernation

Daniela Suarez-Lorenzo, Class of 2025

As clocks move forward an hour, the long awaited season of spring approaches, and spring is about time, time is progressingprogressingprogressing,

…and the frigid, dark, lonely, days of winter are reaching their ends; the days are finally blissful, airy, and bright for the sleepy, hungry animals emerging from hibernation ready to see the charming world again, free of snow and the bitter cold, beautiful birds and delicate butterflies with intricate patterns displayed on their wings have returned from wintering…

…now the flowers in the vast field are blooming, hundreds upon hundreds of different flower species are sprouting from what was uninhabitable a few short weeks ago, buried deepdeepdeep

…the new bundles of lush vegetation displaying thousands of different hues and shades and new beginnings, destined for a special place in hearts and minds,

since it is human nature to want and receive second chances
