Riding High by Parker Mageropoulos, Class of 2026

The Dumb Sheriff
by Connor Jones, Class of 2026

There once was a dumb sheriff so lame

On his horse he would travel, what a shame

Through the Wild West he rode

With his head in the clouds and mind slow

He couldn't catch a thief if he tried

Every outlaw would slip by with pride

But at least he looked good in his hat

For a sheriff so dumb, that's a fact.

Rides at Night
by Laurel Owen, Class of 2026

In the dark of night,

Mountains looming tall and proud,

Clouds above them, a shroud.

Good, bad, ugly.

The moon obscured, a cloudy veil,

A lone cowboy and his horse, easy riding pale.

Feeling scared, alone in the gloom,

He rides the mountain, high noon.

But fear not, for soon comes dawn,

The rhymes, the light, the hope, reborn.

And a fist full of dollars, unforgiven.
