Residency Verification and Online Registration is due by July 31st!
As we move closer to the start of school we have modified the plan to pickup devices for your students. Chromebooks will be distributed from Leeds Middle School like they were in the spring. The dates for pickup will be August 17, 18, 19 from 8-11 each day.
We appreciate everyone's response to our recent survey, requesting your preference for in-person or virtual learning. As you know, we are all operating in an environment where change comes rapidly, and we as school leaders must pivot quickly. Given the number of virtual learners for the first 9 weeks, we need to make a change to the opening of school.
We are delaying the opening of school to August 20. Our current 20-21 school calendar will be amended in the coming weeks, and we will release the new calendar as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we attempt to navigate these uncertain times. As always, our principals are available to answer any questions you may have.
When we released our reopening plan two weeks ago, we declared it a “working plan.” Indeed it’s already time to make changes based on the most current information from the Department of Public Health. Moving forward, we will require masks for students in grades 3-12 and staff members. PK-2nd students will be highly encouraged to wear a mask. There will be exceptions for lunch, PE, and those with physical or certain health impairments. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. We will continue to communicate with you as more information becomes available.

Attached is the LCS' reopening plan for the 2020-21 school year. Our plan is a working plan that will likely be modified throughout the school year. Please know that we will keep everyone's safety at the forefront of all our decisions as we embark on a school year that is likely to be unlike any other. If you have specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child's principal or me.
