Think bite-sized bursts of 5 minute talks linked to sharing TLA brilliance from fellow colleagues.
This will include short, engaging talks showcasing excellent TLA practices used by colleagues which will allow staff to pick up practical tips, fresh ideas, and inspiration to elevate your own teaching.
The best thing? The lightning talk series will be short action-packed bursts of inspiration (20 minutes maximum) that won't eat into valuable planning time.
Lightning Talks are running across the academic year at different campus and sites.
Kam Akram, Course Leader of T Level Digital & IT, talked colleagues through the effective use of the Frayer Model Technique.
Christopher Lang, Course Leader of Electrical Installation, shared how he improves the quality of peer feedback in practical sessions.
Aidan Harding, Teacher in the UPS department, shared examples of how he personalises learning to support learner progress.
Rachael Fox, Teacher of Creative Media, provided colleagues with hints and tricks linked to writing an effective SoLs.
Sean O'Connor, Electrical Teacher, shared some practical examples from his own practice and offered useful ideas and inspiration.
