As part of your onboarding, you are encouraged to book onto our Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA) Induction. These sessions run weekly across various sites, and we aim for all new staff to complete the induction within their first week of joining the organisation. The session introduces our new TLA IMPACT Strategy, which is designed to enhance teaching effectiveness and improve student outcomes through practical, evidence-based approaches.

All teaching staff must attend this induction. It will cover the self-assessment form, TLA standards, Scheme of Learning, short lesson visits and learning walks.

We would also like to invite you to our TLA Go (Get Onboard) sessions launching in September. It’s a programme of 4 short CPD sessions and a great opportunity to network and meet new colleagues. Please, speak to your line manager or your resident Advanced Practitioner.

My teacher is experienced (>5 years), do they need to attend?
This short series of workshops is designed to support our brand new and early career teachers. Experienced teachers and agency teachers will be invited to attend.
I have a new teacher, do they need to wait until the series starts again to attend?
I have a new teacher, do they need to wait until the series starts again to attend?
No, we have designed to be able to attend at any time and they would complete by attedning all sessions to complete e.g. if the teacher started on session 3 and attended 3 & 4, they would simply attend sessions 1 & 2 on the next series to complete.
What happens if they miss a session?

They would simply attend that single session in the next series.
