Schools operate on a two-hour delay schedule and all teachers and instructional support staff may follow the delay schedule. All 12-month employees report on their regular schedule.
Schools will operate for remote learning only. All staff will be expected to arrive at work by 10:00 a.m. or take appropriate leave. If a staff member is able to telework and has made arrangements with their immediate supervisor, then the individual may work remotely. Teachers will be expected to maintain "office hours" and work their contracted day at the school or telework.
All school buildings and sites will be closed to students and the public and remote learning will continue. In general, only 12-month employees will report on their regular schedule. All staff who can telework may arrange this with their immediate supervisor. Due to the various geography and regionalized impact of weather on the County’s roads, all employees are encouraged to consider safety as the highest priority when making a determination to go to work or take leave. However, if an employee who is not able to telework cannot arrive to work by 10:00 a.m., then the employee’s immediate supervisor must be contacted and appropriate leave should be taken.
Division shutdown and only essential personnel will report to work and remote learning will continue. Principals are responsible for making sure their buildings are checked as soon as possible. At the Division level, essential personnel are designated as the division superintendent (superintendent), the staff member in charge of operations, and/or staff member in charge of transportation. The superintendent may assign essential personnel, as needed, at both the Division and school level. At the school level, the principal and head custodian are designated as essential personnel. In the event that site preparation will be required for school events or school the next day, then all Division operations (i.e., 12-month maintenance and transportation) staff and school custodial staff may be considered essential personnel.
Rose Hill will be participating in the 5-2-1-0 Childhood Obesity Program. To read more about it, please visit www.letsgo.org.
