School Counseling

Welcome to Woodglen, home of the Wildcats.

Rachel Melick:

My name is Rachel Melick, I am one of the School Counselors here.  I work with all students in the 6th through 8th grade.  I have been a school counselor for over ten years; this is my eighth year here in Lebanon Township.  I am a solution focused counselor that encourages students to develop a positive self-esteem and relationship with self and others, healthy habits, an understanding of what one has control over, and resilience.   I believe that all children have a natural ability to learn as they create the young men and women they are becoming.   My goal is to coach and support young people to recognize and reach their potential as they maneuver through the beginning of their adolescent journey.   I work very hard at building a relationship with all of the students at Woodglen, with the goal that they know they are safe to talk about their struggles, feelings, and their lives  with me.

My door is always open; do not hesitate to reach out to me by phone or email.

Megan Wade:

My name is Megan Wade and I am the newest addition to the counseling team at Woodglen and Valley View. This is my eighth year as a School Counselor and I love what I do. As a former Lebanon Township student I am happy to be back in my home district. I believe in solution focused school counseling and strongly believe in the power of validation, acknowledgement, and accountability. My goal is primarily to assist students in the transition from Valley View to Woodglen by fostering social skills, emotional well-being, and responsibility. In turn, these are skills they will carry into high school and beyond. I value my relationships with my students and families and believe that it truly does take a village! I look forward to providing an open and safe space for our students throughout their school day. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
