  • A hearty congrats to the Yale track and field team for stepping up big-time at the BC championships this past weekend in Langley. Placing 8th in the province, "Beast-mode" Mayci Falk cracked the final in the senior girls 400, the first Yale athlete to do so in 6 years. Amardeep "the man" Mann became the first male athlete in Yale history to crack the top 8 in a distance running event. He placed 4th in the 1500 meter steeplechase and 5th in the 800 meters. Numerous other Yale athletes posted personal best performances. Well done team.

  • The Jr. Girls played great this afternoon and defeated a scrappy Burnaby South game today 49-43. Congrats to coach Borseth and all the girls. The girls have made it to the Final 4. Friday night 8:00 pm at Langley Events Centre --- the Field House Building Yale vs Fraser Heights. The girls would love some Yale supporters in the crowd Friday night to cheer them on. Tickets will be for sale at the venue
  • The senior girls won their game this morning! It was another close one 77-73, but we’ll take it. The next game is today at 10:15am.
  • Any grade 11 or 12 student interested in exploring a career in the Health and/or Veterinary field, should attend a short informational meeting today at the beginning of lunch in the Career Centre (Learning Commons) to discuss the Veterinary Assistant Job Shadow Program and Hospital Rotation Program. See you at lunch today

  • The Key Club will be selling Lava Cakes today at lunch. They have over 150 cakes to sell tomorrow so come on out and purchase a $2.00 Lava Cake
  • Come to movie night Monday March 5th to watch the hilarious Ace Ventura starring Jim Carrey. It begins at 7pm and will be in the New Theatre. Admission is $3 includes a snack and a drink.
  • Aboriginal Field Trip to the Museum of Anthropology is March 13

    • The senior girls played their hearts out and the fans were incredible. Unfortunately, the first win eluded us yet another year. However, knowing that we have a school behind us, encouraging us, and cheering for us means so much. Special thanks to Mr. Primrose, Mr. Ivany and Ms. Tessarolo who came out with two busloads of students to cheer us on. Thank you to Mr. Sarowa and Mr. Byron for their support in encouraging school spirit.
