Disney Registration and Insurance Information
The moment is FINALLY here! If you are interested in going on the senior trip to Disney World on March 10th, you MUST register ONLINE and then hand in payment #1 to either Mrs. Olinsky or Ms. Schneider by October 22nd. The trip costs $2100 and payment #1 is $700. Checks can be made payable to Pearl River UFSD. Insurance information is attached. Be sure to register and send in your first payment by October 22nd or you will be charged a late fee of $50. Again, your child MUST be registered online.

Dear Parents of the Class of 2022!!!
I cannot believe that we are already getting geared up for the 2021-2022 School Year!!
As you know, we typically take the photographs of the upcoming year's seniors during May of their Junior year, which obviously couldn't happen. We have made arrangements for Sunflower Studios to do Socially Distant Senior Portraits.
Unfortunately, with the new guidelines, we are not able to utilize Sunflower's Tux's, Drape for pictures as the students would all have to be sharing, and the photographers too close. While it is slightly different from how we have done things in the past, we are also excited about the opportunity for the students to express themselves a bit.
Instead students should wear the following:
Navy Blue or Black Blazer
Collared white shirt
Choice of tie
Off the shoulder or v-neck dress shirt (or dress) in solid black or navy blue.
Cap and Gown will be provided.
Please use the link to make your appointment.
Students need to take these photos to be able to receive a student ID.
As always appointments are tight, so students should come with hair and makeup done.

Your photo will be online approximately 2-3 weeks after picture day.
You will receive an email or a card with an individual password at that time (PRHS IS RECEIVING PROOFS IN YOUR PE CLASS). If you don't receive one after this period of time, please email Sunflower Studio with your child's grade, name and school. We would be glad to provide it at that time.
If you do not take a portrait with our photographers we cannot issue a school ID. This ID will be needed for your Disney trip. Please plan accordingly. If you take a portrait with an outside photographer please be sure to match our background and follow our dress code so that it looks cohesive.CHOOSING PORTRAITS-

IMPORTANT COVID TESTING INFORMATION!!!
The COVID test form must be submitted by MONDAY, APRIL 19th BY 5pm!!
CARE365, the outside company that is coming in to do the testing is requiring that forms are completed, including insurance information PRIOR to coming for the testing on Tuesday, April 20, after school in the cafeteria.
You can either complete the forms digitally and email them to Mrs. Olinsky at firstname.lastname@example.org
OR you can print them, fill them out by hand, scan them and email them to Mrs. Olinsky. (The ‘notes’ app on your phone has a scan option).
IN ADDITION: The Pearl River district doctor has clarified that all students, including those that are fully vaccinated, also take a COVID test prior to attending the Junior Prom. COVID testing forms are posted below.

JUNIOR PROM: UPCOMING DETAILS!
Our “Mask-erade” Junior Prom will be held on Friday, April 23rd, from 7pm-11pm at PRHS.
Tickets will be on sale next week, 4/12-4/16 in the cafeteria, during 6th and 7th lunch periods. Ticket price will be $60 per student.
In order to purchase a ticket, you will need the following:
Signed permission slip
Your table request: 10 students per table
Payment in the form of cash or check
Prizes will be awarded to students with the best face masks! Get creative!
Due to current NYS Department of Health Guidelines, all attendees will need to be tested for COVID 19. The school district is arranging for COVID testing to be done at the HS after school during the week of 4/20. Date to be announced soon.
Students may opt to get COVID tested on their own. More details to follow on this.
Juniors are welcome to bring dates from within Pearl River High School only.
All Juniors planning to attend the Junior Prom must attend a mandatory meeting on Friday, April 23rd during 6th period in the high school auditorium.
For remote students, a Google Meet link will be provided.
If you are full-time remote, or unable to come to the school cafeteria during 6th and 7th period lunches, you can purchase tickets by dropping off payment, permission slips and table requests to Mrs. Beckerle.

Thank you for being so supportive as we try to get things around the school back to as “normal” as possible. This year, with all its obstacles, has created so many new and unique situations and you have all adapted very well.
This year, we have also had to make some changes to the Underclassmen School Photo Schedule. We were originally scheduled for 2 days of photos, which has had to become 5 to accommodate all cohorts. Please see the table below to see what day your child(ren) take photos.

This is such a strange and challenging time for everyone. To try to help, Wednesdays will be devoted to Pearl River Wellness Day for Staff and Students! Mrs. Canals, Dr. Turco, and Ms. Martens set up a google classroom, "Wellness for your Mental Health", to provide additional support for our staff and students.
Each week, new skills, tips, and coping strategies will be discussed and reviewed. Additionally, the clinical staff will be available live from 1pm-2 pm to answer any questions and /or have group discussions. There may also be surprise speakers that join us during that time!
