General Psychology 20
Prerequisite: ELA 10
Do you ever wonder:
Why are some people motivated and some are not? Why do you stay awake when I want to sleep? Why does Anxiety have such a big impact on people? Am I and extrovert or an introvert? Emotions, why are they so difficult?
If you have ever wondered or asked these questions, then this course is geared for you. General Psychology 20 is a course for students who want to learn about why things happen a certain way, but more importantly why “People” behave a certain way.
The aim of this course is to provide you with a general background in psychology including the history of psychology and the principles of learning and thinking. You will learn about stress and aggression, the influence of small groups, the status of roles, and some insights regarding neurosis and psychosis.
No course in general psychology would be complete without some discussion of emotion and behavior. This course concludes with a section about self-improvement and self-growth.
