Banyan Learning Center

Welcome to my web page! My name is Jolie Goodman, and I am the Resource Specialist teacher in Banyan's Learning Center.

I am proud to say that this is my 29th year teaching students with special needs in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. I spent my first five years teaching a Special Day Class at Meadows Elementary. For the next 18 years, I taught students with mild to moderate disabilities in the Learning Center at Walnut Elementary, first as a Special Day class teacher for five years, and then as a Resource Specialist. This is my sixth year teaching in the Learning Center at Banyan, as a Resource Specialist

I live in Thousand Oaks with my 25-year-old son who is an art student at Moorpark College. We have four pets: a cat named Tonks, a ball python named Pudge, and two crested geckos named Splat and Sploot! In my spare time, I love reading, playing the guitar and piano, listening to music, and doing all kinds of puzzles.
