Reading Minutes
Reading Minutes
3rd grade students are required to read 100 minutes per week. Of course they can read more! Students may spread the minutes out how they would like or how it fits into their weekly schedule. Right before bedtime is a great routine and research shows that children sleep better if they read before bed verses watching TV or playing video games.

This is a vital part in helping to ensure student success and promote responsibility in students. Each student has been given a planner to record their daily homework. Please take the time to check over your student's homework and sign the planner each night. This is also a great way to communicate with us. Feel free to write us a note and we may occasionally do the same. We check the planners every morning for parent signatures and notes.
