Computer Specialist

Welcome to the Ladera Stars Academy Computer Lab. The lab is an exciting place for our students to build their computer skills while working on many facets of the STEAM curriculum.

During computer specialist our students are introduced to a variety of computer skills. All grades participate in the annual worldwide Hour of Code event where students learn the basics of coding. The students work with Microsoft Office: Word, Power Point, Publisher and Excel. They learn how to effectively use the World Wide Web as a knowledge based tool. The students are encouraged to practice proper keyboarding techniques and be a good Digital Citizens while using technology.

Creation Rotation - Digital Art is a new program at The STARS Academy. Our students are learning how to incorporate technology into the world of art. They work with many digital art concepts including Chroma Key (green screening) technology, photo editing software and 3_D Design Software.
