Product: Woot Math
Company: Woot Math
Company Overview - Products/Services: Woot Math is a research-backed platform that provides tools for adaptive learning and formative assessment. It provides a 2X in learning outcomes in a proven path for students to build conceptual understanding of fractions and rational numbers. Funded by NSF and IES, Woot Math also provides a suite of tools for running warmup, quizzes, and exit tickets that deeply engage students, build confidence, and provide rich opportunities for full-class discussion based on actual student work.
Product Design - Problem Statement: Woot Math’s Adaptive Program provides short video lessons to explain key concepts. These lessons are interleaved with an adaptive sequence of levels. The content is aligned for students in grades 3-6, but works as an ideal supplement for students struggling with fractions and related concepts. Engaging and fun, the program builds confidence while helping students master core math topics.

Evidence of Effectiveness:
Digital Promise has published summaries of two recent research studies about Woot Math.
These summaries were written by Digital Promise staff based on their reviews of the research studies. Both studies were federally funded (by the National Science Foundation and US Department of Education, respectively) and conducted by external evaluation teams.
Earlier, in 2016, Woot Math's evaluation research was recognized as being the best in the field of EdTech companies under a review by Columbia University Teachers College, Digital Promise, and EdSurge:
A detailed white paper discussing the benefits of Woot Math's Adaptive Learning Engine (as demonstrated in a Randomized Controlled Trial, NSF funded) is available at:
