Mentor Information

Expand your universe. Get Involved. Mentor a student.

Wiley Middle School is looking for mentors from the community who will spend 30-45 minutes per week with a student.

Mentors and students participate in an extensive array of activities such as: reading a book together, arts and crafts, assisting with academics, eating lunch together, or simply taking a walk around the school grounds.

The mentor’s role is both a friend to his/her mentee as well as a critical source of support and guidance during the student's middle school years. Before being matched with a student, all mentors must complete an application, which is available at and submit to a criminal background check.

LISD will provide a mentor training. Place community at a time convenient to you. We are looking for dedicated people who want to make a difference to a child.

For more information, visit The LISD Main Page link and please fill out the mentor form.

Thank you in advance for being a leader in your community!
