District CDC | Virtual

New competitor record for Vista Ridge with 59 students competing in 24 teams at district. We also had our first ever Stock Market Game team compete finishing 74th place out of 618 teams.

This year proved to test our ability to adapt our projects to a virtual presentation recording. Zoom was our go to for meetings, events, and learning. We all grew and adapted for the better!

State CDC | Virtual

54 Students moved onto our Virtual State Competition. 47 students were recognized as State Finalists and 35 moved onto Virtual ICDC.

Also, our very own Zoe Fisher was elected President of Texas DECA for 21-22!

ICDC | Virtual

35 students (13 teams) competed in our Virtual ICDC Competition from 4/12-4/30.

26 students made Finals (9 teams) and 2 Exam medals in IMC. New record at VRHS DECA - 80% medal at ICDC.

Huge shout out to our amazing volunteers that helped us get through this chaotic year! Mr. & Mrs. Adams, Ms. Fisher, Ms. Jablon, Mr. Niemietz and Ms. Jones!

District CDC | Copperas Cove, TX

All 53 competitors succeeded at advancing to State! It was a whirlwind year and we completed the awards ceremony in record time. Alex Hoang stepped down as District 5 President and our own Zoe Fisher was elected in his place! Two presidents in a row in District 5!

State CDC | Ft. Worth, TX

State flies by for all of us; we really enjoyed walking through downtown Ft. Worth. We recognized 17 teams as finalists and advanced 15 teams to ICDC (44 competitors).

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, ICDC 2020 was cancelled. We were confident we would have brought home more glass. Thank you for all your hard work Seniors!

2018-2019

What a record breaking year! We were Ready For It!

Bastrop District 5 CDC - all 55 students advanced to State AND we elected our very own Alex Hoang for District 5 President for the 2019-2020 year.

Dallas State CDC - 44 students advanced to ICDC AND we elected our very own Parth Parikh as Texas DECA Vice President of Competition for the 2019-2020 year.

Orlando ICDC 2019 - 7 teams advanced to Finals! Also, our IMC team received recognition for their test scores - thats 24 medals! - New Record (55% medal)
