Librarian Bio Information:

I am proud to be a native Austinite. I earned an English bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and my Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas. I am excited to be the librarian at RPE! Books, reading, and problem-solving are my passions! 😁

I live with my husband and our 25-year-old turtle, Corpus. Our son and his wife live in Chicago. I taught first grade in Austin ISD before beginning my career as a school librarian in Manor ISD in 2020.  🐢

In my spare time, I can be found reading, gaming, watching sports (especially baseball, football, and soccer), mountain biking, watching movies, doing yoga, meditating, listening to music,  working with technology, traveling, or taking photographs. 💙
