PSAT NMSQT - 1OTH AND 11TH GRADERS ONLY - OCTOBER 25, 2022

PSAT 8/9 - 9TH GRADERS ONLY - SATURDAY, APRIL 22ND (LIMITED AVAILABILITY) - MORE INFORMATION TO COME FROM THE LEANDER ISD ADVANCED PLACEMENT OFFICE

Purpose of PSAT

  • Receive feedback on skill strengths and weaknesses necessary for SAT preparation

  • Prove college readiness for ACC Dual Credit

  • Sophomore year PSAT is used to qualify for Rouse PSAT Team

  • Junior year PSAT is the initial qualifier for the National Merit program for Semifinalists or Commended students, as well as several other scholarship programs

  • Be considered for specialized scholarships and college information through “Student Search”. Students will need to opt in when they complete the demographic information on test day

Testing Agenda - October 25th

8:15 am - report to testing room (room assignments will be posted in the school)

8:15 am - 12:30 pm - PSAT Testing

12:30 pm - Students will report to 3rd period and their usual A day lunches. A - Lunch - 12:30 - 1:00. B - Lunch - 1:30 - 2:00.

12:30 pm - 2:00 pm - 3rd Period

2:05 pm-3:35 pm - 4th period

What to Bring

  • Government issued or school ID with photo

  • #2 pencils

  • College Board Approved Calculator (we do not have the supply to provide a calculator to each student)

  • Water bottle / snacks
