Social Emotional Learning 

• If emotions are not regulated, students are not ready to learn! 

• Leander ISD uses the social-emotional learning curriculum "Second Step" in the home room classrooms every day. 

• As a resource/inclusion teacher, I ensure that emotional needs are met first before helping students with their academic needs. I am trained in Second Step and use the same language and strategies that general education teachers are teaching their homeroom classes.
