About Miss Vaughan

Hello Parents and Students!

My name is Chelsea Vaughan, and I'm so excited to be your 5th grade In-Class Support/Resource teacher this year. This will be my fifth year teaching, and I couldn't imagine working anywhere but in Leander. As a Leander High School graduate myself, I know how important community and growth are within our district, and I'm proud to be part of a community that values learning, creativity, and collaboration just as much as I do.

In December, 2015, I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I spent the spring of 2016 as a Long-Term Substitute within LISD, honing my teaching skills and learning from experienced coworkers. I was ecstatic to join the Camacho family in November of 2016, and am looking forward to spending the next year with you and your students.

As a teacher, it's important that my students feel safe in my classroom, and are comfortable communicating kindly and openly both with me and with their peers. My goal as a teacher is to instill a love of learning that follows students throughout their years, so that they may become confident, curious, and courageous citizens.

When I'm not shaping the minds of our future leaders, I enjoy reading, quilting, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with my family. However, my heart is always in the classroom, and I'm always looking for ways to improve my organization, and expand my knowledge.
