About Me!

Hi there! My name is Amaya Martinez and I am so excited to be a new addition to the 5th grade team at River Place Elementary. I was born and raised in here in Texas and after spending a year as an English teacher in Madrid, Spain,  I have decided to come back to my roots to begin my teaching career here in the States. I completed my degree at Texas State University in 2022 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. In Madrid, I traveled to 10 different countries and visited so many beautiful sights while growing my love for traveling. In addition to my love for traveling, I also enjoy running, baking sweet treats, reading and live music!

A few of my favorite things are:

desserts-  such a sweet tooth so anything that is gluten free, I will enjoy it!

drinks- coconut lacroix and iced matcha with almond milk and vanilla
