It is an honor and a privilege to continue serving the Rouse High School community as an Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. After spending the past 17 years as a teacher and coach at Rouse, I am excited to begin this new chapter and continue supporting the outstanding students, faculty, staff, and families that make Raider Nation such a special place. I will be serving all members of our school community while overseeing students with the alphabet assignment ALI–CRO.
My journey at Rouse began in 2009 during the school's second year, and I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of roles throughout my career. I was the original Head Tennis Coach from 2009–2015, served as the UIL Academic Coordinator from 2016–2019, and coached the UIL Social Studies team to four UIL 5A State Championships (2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024) and third-place finishes at the state meet in 2025 and 2026. From 2020–2026, I served as the Head Golf Coach, where our boys' teams captured three consecutive district championships (2022–2024), and our girls' teams earned three consecutive district championships (2024–2026). In the classroom, I taught AP U.S. History for 23 years and AP Human Geography for six years, with this past year being my final year as a classroom teacher.
On a personal note, I have been married to my wife, Kristy, for 33 years. We are blessed with two wonderful children, both of whom are married, and three amazing granddaughters who bring us tremendous joy.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the students, staff, and families of Rouse High School in this new capacity. I look forward to building strong relationships, supporting student success, and working alongside our incredible faculty and community as we strive for another outstanding year. Thank you for the warm welcome, and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together. Go Raiders!
