Hello, my name is Linda Major and I am the theatre arts director and fine arts chair for Leander High School. I started the theatre program in 1982 and previously I taught in Killeen and Anchorage, Alaska.

I have a BSE in education from Mary Hardin-Baylor and a master’s degree with an emphasis in directing from Texas State University.

Passionate would be the best way to describe how I feel about teaching and directing at LHS. I’ve watched the program grow from one very small class to offering numerous classes including theatre arts I-IV, technical theatre I-IV, theatre productions I-IV, and the IB theatre program. We are known for our large-scale musicals and our award-winning UIL One Act Plays.
