What: The National French Contest is a written test that is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Participating students compete against French students from across the country. You can even earn prizes! Learn more here.
Who: All VHS students of French are eligible to participate.
When: The National French Contest takes place in March, 2021. We will choose (a) specific date(s) for VHS students in the coming weeks.
Where: Students who sign up will take the online test in their regularly scheduled French class. Students will not need to miss any other classes to participate.
Why: This is a great opportunity for students to gauge their progress in French by seeing how they perform in comparison to other French students across the nation. It is also a great addition to résumés and college applications. And, it is fun! There is no obligation to participate, but there is also no risk. Students’ scores do not affect their grade in French class.
How: Registration has been extended until January 29th, 2021. The cost to participate is $4.20. Sign up and pay the registration fee on the VHS Webstore. Once you sign up, use the resources below to help you prepare!
