I am so excited to be joining Grandview Hills Elementary as your new School Counselor! I can't wait to meet you all! I look forward to assisting students, teachers and parents to make this a successful school year for all.

I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and received my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Texas State University. It is hard to believe I am entering into my 10th year as a school counselor! I've been both a middle and elementary school counselor. Before becoming a school counselor, I taught English/Language Arts to sixth graders.

I am blessed with a wonderful family. My husband, Joel, and I will celebrate 18 years of marriage in February. We have two amazing children. A son who is in 7th grade and a daughter who is in 4th grade. I am fortunate to have my children in LISD!

My motivation for being here each day is to help others find their strengths which will ultimately lead them to pursue their future path and reach their full potential. My "one word" for this year is STRENGTH. This reminds me to focus on helping those I counsel to find and use their strengths and to have the strength to persevere through challenges that come their way. We can do hard things! Have an amazing year!
