Please use this page to review our school sickness expectations and medication policy.
To help ensure the health of all our students and staff, health checks should be assessed at home, including temperature.
If a child shows symptoms while at school, parents will be contacted.
Sick students must be fever(100F) /vomit free for 24 hours-without fever reducing medicine before they are permitted to return to school.
If your child has a fever or vomits at school, we ask that you make arrangements for your child to be picked up within 30 minutes. Please note, that the 24 hour period for return to school applies - if your child returns to school before the 24 hour period, we will ask that you pick your child up in the clinic.
Medications are permitted to be administered by a licensed health professional or a board approved trained staff member during school hours.
A Lancaster City School Medication form must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian and medical provider.
A parent/guardian must deliver and pick-up the medications in the school clinic. No medications will be transported by students.
All medications-Rx and OTC must be brought into the clinic in their original containers
