Educating the Whole Child
Welcome to the Writing class website. I am Paige Johnson, an 18-year teaching veteran, who loves to express myself through the written word. This year my classes will be working on building the skills to become lifelong lovers of writing. We will write about our lives, our hopes & dreams, and our world observations. We will learn techniques to become better writers of stories, essays, and poetry, and we will create a portfolio to keep for years to come.

I am a Lancaster native in my 19th year of teaching, my 10th at Buford Middle School. Previously, I taught 9th-11th grades at Lancaster High School and spent 5 years teaching 6th grade at BMS. I love grammar, literature and poetry, and I have a passion for instilling that same sentiment in my students. I am married with two sons, Riley, a 10th grader at BHS, and Brooks, a 3rd grader at BES. I enjoy watching my boys play soccer, reading a good book, traveling to different places, and spending time at the beach. I am also a die-hard Clemson fan who loves to spend Saturday afternoons watching college football.
