Veterans Visit Rucker

As a culminating activity for our schoolwide read of Restart, our students met veterans who visited their classrooms for video interviews. Students then began editing the videos to share with other students. We want to thank our veteran visitors for this special day!

There will be no school for students Monday, October 14th. We have a professional development day scheduled.

The eighth grade trip to LHS will be Tuesday, October 1st.

Our Parent Teacher Organization and School Improvement Council will meet Monday, October 21st in the library at 5:30 p.m.

Report cards go home Tuesday, October 29th.

Read Way to Big Game logo

Completed Read Your Way to the Big Game reading logs are due in the library by Thursday, October 31st at 3:20 pm. Participating students are eligible for our tailgate event and will be entered in the drawing for free tickets to the game.

Make-up pictures will be taken Wednesday, October 30th. More information about retakes will be sent home before the event.

Trip to Charleston

Eighth graders will travel to Charleston, SC Tuesday, November 26th.

Payments are due:

  • October 4th ($50)
  • November 1st ($45)

Make-Up Pics & Yearbooks

Make-up pictures will be taken Wednesday, October 30th. More information about retakes will be sent home before the event.

Yearbooks are $30 until October 1, 2019. After this date, the price will increase to $35. Please send all yearbook money to Mrs. Hudson (art) in room 323. Remember that all personal checks must now include an address, phone number and driver’s license #s. These can be written on if not printed on the check.

Yearbook Ad flyers for 8th grade parents are also available in Homebase or in the main office.
