LCSD School Libraries

2023-2024

Three new Library Media Specialists join our team this year: Lucy Gardner, AR Rucker Middle School, Kelly Cauthen, Buford Elementary, and Samantha Rollings, Discovery School.

Our goals for this year will allow us to GROW our knowledge of budgeting, acquisitions, cataloging, reporting, and technology trends. In addition, we are examining the six shared foundations of the AASL Library Standards in order to develop SLOs with common assessments.  Librarians continue to CREATE and SHARE lessons and programming.

We are Putting Our Children First by building relationships, curating resources, promoting literacy, and facilitating learning.  We provide instructional support to the faculty, staff, and students of Lancaster County School District.  We prepare our students for college and career readiness.
