LCSD Instructional Technology

The 2017-2018 school year included many additions to the LCSD 1:1 Chromebook Initiative. Fourteen new Instructional Technology Coaches and one Instructional Specialist for Technology were hired, the thirteen remaining schools began utilizing Chromebooks and coaches received training on the Hapara learning management system and One to One Plus asset management system.

Students in grades 3-12 received Chromebooks to utilize during the school day. Students in grades 9-12 took Chromebooks home to complete assignments.

Instructional Technology Coaches (ITCs) host professional development, model and co-teach lessons, and collaborate regularly with teachers. The ITCs meet twice a month to build relationships, learn about new technologies, create lessons, and discuss areas for growth. The ITCs are currently developing the 1:1 Chromebook Initiative Handbook. Forms for the 2018-2019 school year are being developed to streamline the distribution and maintenance process.

We are putting our children first by providing support to the faculty, staff, and students of Lancaster County School District by preparing our students for college and career readiness.

Thank you for your support of the students of Lancaster County Schools through the 2016 bond referendum!
