Teach lessons in every classroom weekly (Kindergarten) and twice a month (1st - 2nd grades) and monthly lessons for 3rd and 4th grades on a variety of topics.
Facilitate small group counseling to students for additional skill building activities to enhance what has been taught within the guidance classroom lessons.
Offer solution-focused brief individual counseling sessions to students as needed.
Help students create and achieve goals.
Consult and collaborate with parents and teachers help students achieve success.
Provide information about community resources for families.
Coordinate state testing.
Participate on the MTSS team (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) to support student needs.

Hello! My name is Amanda Bayne. I am the School Counselor for 3rd, and 4th grade. This is my eleventh year as a school counselor. Before I became a counselor, I taught second grade for six years. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from The University of South Carolina. GO GAMECOCKS!! I received my Masters degree in Counseling and Development from Winthrop University. My passion is working with students. I am looking forward to working with each of your children this year!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my son Davis, my daughter Catherine Ann, family and friends, attending concerts, and watching and playing sports.

Hello! My name is Terri Nowinski and I am the School Counselor for Kindergarten. This is my tenth year at Indian Land Elementary School, however, I am starting my 32 year in education and my 31st as a School Counselor. I relocated to South Carolina from Buffalo, NY in July 2014 and love living in South Carolina. I received my Masters in School Counseling from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. My passion is working with students and helping them reach their individual potential. I am very excited to be a part of the Indian Land Elementary family and look forward to another exciting year. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my son Parker and daughter Kensi, family, being outdoors, exercising, gardening, reading and attending theater shows and local activities. Hi! My name is Mr. Xavier Kee, and I am excited to be your School Counselor this year! I will be the school counselor for the First and Second graders this year.
I was born and raised here in Lancaster, SC. I am a product of Indian Land as I attended school here for elementary, middle, and high school. I graduated from Indian Land High School in 2006. It is exciting to work at the school that I went to. I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University and my Master's in School Counseling from Capella University.
This will be my third year in the role of a school counselor but my 17th year working at ILE. I have been a substitute teacher, 29hr assistant, special education assistant, ISS teacher, office assistant, and bus driver.
When I am not at school, I love to spend time with family and friends. I love attending and watching sporting events, concerts, traveling, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers. Keep Pounding!!!
