What is a PTO?
A PTO is a nonprofit Parent Teacher Organization, comprised of a governing board, which works together with parents and teachers to achieve goals for the improvement of the school and the benefit of the students. A PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in the classroom setting, holds fund raisers for educational materials and equipment, and supports school and family social interaction.
HES PTO Mission Statement
Our mission is to nurture all children and enhance their educational experience by partnering with the administration, teachers, families and the community. Together we will work to maximize the education of every child and to provide additional opportunities beyond the curriculum to enrich the students and help every child reach their highest potential. Through this team effort, we will work to accomplish key short and long term goals and encourage pride in Harrisburg Elementary School.
