Never Judge a Book By Its Movie

Scholastic Book Fair will be at Buford Middle School September 17-21.

Book Fair Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM September 17-20 and

7:30 AM - 12 noon September 21.

Students who read six books will be entered for a chance to win tickets to the Clemson vs. South Carolina game on November 24. Once students have completed their readings, they should turn in the list of books read to their teacher or librarian.

All reading logs should be turned in to the library no later than November 8th.

Students who read at least 3 2018-2019 SC Junior Book Award nominees and complete a FlipGrid book talk for each one will be invited to a voting party in February. See Mrs. Tillman or Mrs. Flynn for the FlipGrid code. Start reading now!

About Us

I'm Ann Tillman, the media specialist at BMS. I have previously taught second, third, and fourth grades. I received a Masters in Teaching (1997) and a Masters in Library and Information Science (2013) from the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!! I also received National Board certification in 2008 and renewed in 2017. I am married to Philip and have 2 boys, Jacob and Thomas. I love reading, spending time with my family and working with the youth at Second Baptist.

I am Anna Flynn, and I am the Media Assistant. I have been at Buford Middle going on four years now. I have worked as the Nurse Assistant and as a substitute in all the different classrooms. I have an Associates Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. I enjoy building better relationships with our students and faculty through reading. I am an avid reader myself and love the atmosphere of the library. I have been married five years to my husband Gregg. I have two step-daughters, Danielle and Malya, and one son, Brantley. I enjoy spending time with my family and volunteering in different activities.
