Entering quality search terms is one thing but knowing what to click on is another.

First look at the URL and find the domain. 

Restricted domain websites like .gov and .edu are generally more credible sites. Many other common domains like .org and .com are not restricted; they can be created by any type of person or group.  Reading the About Us page on such sites can provide insight into the sites credibility.
