About Me

I am very excited for another productive, informative, challenging year of growing and learning at Lancaster High School. My name is Mr. Karl J Fritz and this is my nineteenth year teaching here at LHS. Born and raised in Saginaw Michigan I attended Grand Valley State University receiving a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in applied statistics. I attended Saginaw Valley State University entering as a graduate into the school of education. I earned a teaching certificate from SVSU in secondary science and math.

In 2004 I moved to the Carolinas and began teaching at LHS. I lived first in Charlotte, NC and commuted. My family and I moved to Lancaster in 2007 and couldn't be happier or more at home. My two daughters attend Lancaster schools, A.R. Rucker and here at LHS. My wife works with the 4K program at North Elementary. We very much enjoy being part of this community.

I am driven to help students learn and passionate about guiding young people on their journey to become productive members of our society as well as caring friends and neighbors.

Since 2019-2020 I have also served as the Lancaster High School Athletic Director.
